Groton Community Dinners
Fostering community by offering a healthy, delicious meal for all, free of charge, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere
Groton Community Dinners is a new initiative by a number of community groups in and around Groton, MA. Our goals are both to provide nourishment and to strengthen the bonds of community.
On Friday July 25th, 2014, all are welcome to the free monthly dinner held at First Parish Church, located at the intersection of Rte. 40 and Rte. 119 in Groton, MA. Dinners are held on the last Friday of every month. (Here are a few photos from the inaugural dinner on May 29th, 2009.) Doors open at 5:45 pm and dinner is served continuously from 6:00 - 7:00 pm. Come for live music, great food, and good company. The menu for July 25th dinner includes house salad, marinated and grilled flank steak, sauteed vegetables with "wheat meat beef", corn on the cob with sweet butter and coleslaw, and vanilla ice cream with local blueberries.
